In Revelation chapter 11, we find two things to be striking. The first is that prophets in the Bible are almost always mistreated and abused, and the second is that the followers of Christ are often persecuted to a similar degree. In this chapter, we are reminded of how God will always raise up those who will speak his word in the midst of overwhelming hardship, and how even though evil may flourish for the moment, God’s kingdom is forever.
