The City of Light
As John finishes his record of God’s revelation, he points to the things that are absent. The eternal state will have no sea, no sun, moon or stars and no temple in God’s holy city. Today Dr. John speaks of what is missing and assures us that there is no loss. God is all for everyone.
We Will See His Face
We all want to know what heaven is like, and many use their imagination to fill in the picture. This is not a good idea for two reasons. First, heaven is far greater than our imaginations can fathom. Second, we already have a description of our eternal destination. Watch as Dr. John teaches from Revelation 22 about a great city, a flowing river and trees that blossom with fruit every month.
Ruling with Christ
Some have the notion that eternity will be boring. All we will do is float on clouds and play a harp. Of course, that is nonsense and far from the Biblical description of our destiny. As Dr. John continues his series on the book of Revelation, we will see that believers will be granted the right to rule over this earth…
Trustworthy and True
The word “soon” is elastic. Since it can be stretched, it can’t be measured by the clock or calendar, but by the integrity of the one speaking. Jesus promised John the Apostle that His return would be soon. Watch as Dr. John echoes the prophetic words of Jesus at the closing of the book of Revelation. Jesus, whose words are trustworthy and true, is coming soon.
Come Lord Jesus
The last words of the last book of the Bible. Listen as Dr. John teaches of Jesus’ words of invitation, warning, and assurance. It is fitting that the last canonical message from God’s mouth is “Come.” The Spirit says “Come.” The Church says, “Come.” There is a welcome of grace, deliverance and hope. The Saviour who speaks is coming soon. Even so come Lord Jesus.
