God and the Problem With Evil

In Dr. John Neufeld’s 15-message series, God and the Problem With Evil, tough questions surrounding God’s role in pain and suffering are addressed. How is it possible that the Creator of the universe would allow us, His children, to suffer? The book of Habakkuk invites us to be both overwhelmed and filled with joy at the goodness, splendor, mercy, and majesty of God. Habakkuk invites us to worship in the midst of sorrow and pain. This is a series that answers questions that every believer needs to consider, and the answers we find may surprise us!

If you want to know the secret of rejoicing in God you will have to reorient your thinking about God. You will also have to begin to look at evil and good in a new light, in the light of an utterly glorious, righteous, loving and sovereign God. A God who uses evil for His own purposes and for the long term good of His people. That is what the book of Habakkuk is designed to help us do.

Furthermore we are confident that God will only bring those matters into our lives, which are for His glory and our long term good, a good, which is hidden in His glory.
