Every Christian today ought to acknowledge and appreciate the Jewish roots of our faith. Our Saviour, Scriptures and early beginning are all Jewish. Today Dr. John speaks of Paul’s intent to return to Jerusalem with financial help for Jewish Christians suffering in famine. He carried the sacrifice and good will of Gentile Christians to Jews in Jerusalem. This example of respect and support between Jews and Gentiles ought to inform us in our day.
