It is human to attempt a reshaping of God in our own fashion. So the God we begin to worship is false, a deity of our own making. The Bible calls this idolatry. Dr. John preaches of Paul’s ministry in Ephesus and the clash of light with darkness. It was when the believers repented of their idolatry practices that the Word of the Lord increased mightily. Turning from what is not God opens the way to the God who is true.
