Focused on the teachings of Jesus in Matthew 19-20, we find Jesus on his way to Jerusalem for the last time. The crowds are ever-growing, ever more excited with anticipation. But these two chapters present, for us a foreshadowing of the unexpected, not triumph in the way that one might have expected, but teachings of humility, not greatness. This is about Jesus, the Messiah, not ruling the world from a throne, but from a cross.
