Those of us who argue for inerrancy are not forcing some kind of an unnatural literalism onto the Bible. What we are saying is that when the Bible is allowed to speak for itself all that it affirms is to be trusted right down to the detail.
You always know that you have been under a good Bible teacher when you open your Bible and read the very word they preached on study it again for yourself and say, ‘I now understand this passage much more clearly.’
If Jesus truly is who the New Testament declares Him to be, then the 66 books form an exclusive book or closed canon. Christians can be confident that there are good, biblical and reasonable reasonsfor arguing that there is no other book like it.
